Reviews of Suites le Soleil
My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel while in town for a Christmas party. We thought the decor was fabulous and the room was very well laid out with a separate seating area. We live locally and stay in Vancouver hotels on occasion, and we found this one to be one of the best for service, location and price. Our room only had a shower but that's all I wanted (no time for a bath) and even though the room overlooked busy Hornby Street, we didn't notice any noise.

We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Very good location, right up town within walking distance to some of Canada's best shopping. However, I was travelling with my husband and two friends. We booked two rooms, one with a king size bed and balcony. the other two double beds and a balcony. these reservations were made 3 months in advance. Upon arrival, we are told there are NO Balconies on this location at all period. Then my two buddies, one is 6ft6 by the way, are put into a room with two single beds. The furnishings are beautiful, the bedding exquisite. Absolutely pretty, however the smallest rooms I have ever seen! I am thinking "boutique" is synonous with "tiny"!

Le Soleil is one of the high points of business travel for me - it's where I always stay while in Vancouver. I've reviewed it before, and my comments still stand - for value, location, and amenities, it is hard to beat.

Arrived late and was welcomed by Paul at the front desk - had me on my way with a bottle of water in under a minute. Was given a room on the 15th floor - a little higher than usual. I noted this hotel has neither a 13th, nor a 14th floor - kind of weird.

All the rooms are suites, and while space is at a premium within each room, they are all thoughtfully arranged - right down to the sliding door to the bathroom. Free wireless is a plus in every room.

The decor is not to everyone's taste - other reviewers will agree. Kind of turkish bordello meets provencal chic. My only complaint is that some furnishings and carpet are starting to look slightly worn; maybe it's time for a full refresh of the property (inclduing space saving flat screen TVs.

Quiet accommodation is important to me, and Le Soleil always delivers. Wish they would provide a more mainstream newspaper in the morning (National Post is on offer) - I'd prefer a Globe or a local Vancouver rag.

Will I stay here again? Yes, again and again and again.

Was told this hotel was one of Vancouver's hottest boutique hotels....and was very disappointed. From the entrance off of a busy street - not much room to get past the street peddlers into a small lobby. The desk clerk was knowledgeable, but very pompous -- something I'd expect from a Ritz or Four Seasons. The room decor was very "busy" too....hard to focus, and they had ancient bedspreads, the kind that are disgusting in hiding all sorts of nasty things. (Hint - get new clean white duvets like most boutique hotels!). Our room overlooked the busy street, which was noisy all day & night. We asked another clerk on the way out to dinner about a quieter room and she said the rooms on the other side of the hotel look out over Vancouver's busiest intersection --- not very reassuring! For almost $300, we should've stayed elsewhere and will next time. A nice Fairmont was just a couple blocks away in a much nicer location overlooking the harbor.

We stayed for one night in October and booked a standard room. The Room was very nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable with luxurious linens and the staff was very attentive. The hotel is close to Robson street shopping and restaurants and a very good value. We would happily stay here again.
