| Reviews of Rosedale Hotel on Robson |
We stayed here for 2 nights before going to Victoria and 2 nights on the way
back and we were really pleased with our rooms. It was clean, warm. comfy and
spacious. We had fantastic views across the city and the staff were really
helpful. We were able to leave some of our luggage as we were returning and
didn't want to take it all to Victoria on the coach and boat. We also left
luggage at the hotel on our last day before returning back to the UK and the
staff booked our taxi for us so it gave us the day to see more of Vancouver.
Have to say that the hotels website does not do it justice and that we were
apprehensive but would definitely book again.
We were there for one night for a concert and enjoyed most of our stay. The
room was comfortable and quite even though we were right by the elevators. There
were very little supplies in the bathroom
compared to cheaper hotels so make sure you bring your own.
The breakfast isn't worth the time unless all you want is a cup of coffee. I was
also disappointed to learn that the wireless internet was not included in the
room and was supplied by a third party.
Stayed at Rosedale on Robson in May 2006 for a week while holidaying around
Canada. We found the rooms to be well equipped with separate bedroom, lounge
area and kitchen facilities. It was also helpful having laundry facilities
available on every other floor. Staff were friendly and the hotel well priced
for what we received. Located in a good part of the City and only short walk to
Chinatown and historical Gastown. Would definitely stay at Rosedale on Robson
again.
why stay in a small motel room when you can get a 1 bedroom suite for the
same price? On trendy Robson st, a short walk to anywhere. very clean, spacious
and extremely quiet. We were in a room directly opposite the lifts and barely
heard a sound. Room is equipped with cooking facilities so we ate in after
wandering around the markets and buying fresh local produce! the motel provides
muffins and tea/coffee in the morning, but anything more you need to buy - but
you dont really need to!
Bed was heaven at the end of a busy day - so comfortable and spacious! We now
look for suites instead of motel rooms after being spoilt here!
I was so worried about the rooms after reading some bad reviews, but it just
goes to show that some people are picker than I am. We had 2 suites one for us
and the other for the other couple we invited to join us. We booked our rooms
with RCI not with the hotel. The hotel does not check you in the Aviawest office
checks you in - which is adjacent to the hotel. The Aviawest staff are very
friendly and helpful. Leonard made some recommendations for dinner and other
activities. The rooms were very clean, there are enough towels for 3 days (there
is no maid service with RCI) although if you needed more towels just dial zero -
the phone rings at the Aviawest office and they will bring towels immediately.
The windows are great - they are floor to ceiling. There were some reviews that
complained about the size of the kitchen (why on earth do you need a full size
kitchen) the galley kitchen is plenty. It had a stove, mirco wave, refrigerator,
nice coffee maker, all the utensils you MIGHT need. There are so many fabulous
restaurants in Vancouver why would you want to cook anything? Downstairs there
is Rosies which offers a good breakfast plus there is a Starbucks on every
corner. The Rosedale is a perfect location and everything is in walking
distance.. Yaletown, Gastown, Granville street and good shopping. We drove to
Whistlers - it snowed, it was beautiful. We took the harbour cruise, Capilano
suspension bridge and the tree top adventure was the highlight for us. Anyway
take a look at the photos I took it they say it all - the rooms and the sights.
