| The Ramada Inn and Suites Downtown Vancouver is an affordable lodging option
for budget-conscious travelers. The hotel is located approximately 10 miles from
the Vancouver International airport. The hotel's central location puts guests
within a quarter-mile of Robson Street's many shops, the Vancouver Center for
the Performing Arts, and trendy Yaletown. Morrissey's Irish House Bar and Grill
is a convenient, casual destination for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. |
| Reviews of Ramada Inn and Suites Downtown |
This Ramada Inn & suites is nice place to stay if you are on a budget;
depending on what room you stay in. The house keeper did a good job of
straightening up everyday. The front desk staff was friendly. However, at times
there was only one person at the desk. Plan to check out a little earlier so you
are not late. There is much to desire about the area around the hotel. Just
watch your back. A variety of different ethnic restaurants can be found in the
area. Transportation was readily available.
Overall this hotel was fine for the price. The people working here were
friendly and helpful. There just weren't enough people at the front desk to
provide quick service (usually just one person). We were upgraded to a suite,
which was nice. However the rooms were small. I would have preferred one larger
room to the two smaller ones that we had. The room was dark since we couldn't
open the window as it looked across an alley into another hotel room.
Parking was a slight problem. There is a lot on the side of the hotel. If that
is full (which it became in the evening) then there was a valet. Only one valet
(actually the bell boy) to handle all cars. Same was true in the morning.
This is very close to nightlife. I would not recommend this area for a
family. We could walk to dinner on Robson Street without difficulty or fear for
my safety. I would recommend this hotel mostly anyone looking to enjoy nightlife
(especially if you're on a budget).
I could not sleep in this place because of the dance club under the hotel kept
me up all night. It would be ok if you wanted to party all night long at the
dance club
It was not what I expected for a Ramada. It is located in a part of town
which looks a little shady. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel door and
the parking lot is terrible. If you can't find parking in the small area they
have you have to park in a parking garage that's not the hotel's. The rooms are
very small with small furniture. I asked for a room with window and the only
room with a view was of the street out front with bus stop in front.
If your going to Vancouver for fun and enjoy the nightlife, the Ramada was in
a great location and a good price. They have the most amazing Lounge attached
called Ginger 62, really really funky. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly.
Almost family like in a good way :o) |
