We had a very relaxed visit. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The
city was an interesting place. I would love to go back.
A very nice pool on the roof, a chateau feeling from one of Canadian Pacific
Railroads beauties. Nothing will top the Chateau Whistler so I can't give 5
stars, but this was a very classy hotel.
The hotel has a beautiful aura about it. Very comfortable and leaves you
feeling like you are right in a scene from The Great Gatsby. The Banquet
Facilities are spacious. The Hotel is a very classy place to call a home away
from home.
Thankfully the hotel was so well appointed because the stay in Vancouver
otherwise was not very impressive. The Vancouver Transportation Dept. was on
strike the week we were there so no buses or transit ran which made for traffic
jams everywhere and getting around simply difficult. However the Concierge
arranged for us to fly over to Victoria for a day which was a wonderful day
trip, a simply majestic island.
The pool at The Fairmont Vancouver was very refreshing and relaxing. The
service was wonderful.
Things pretty much were as they should be in that we were the guest and they
took care of us.
A few minor hiccups which I believe may have since been corrected. The elevator
stopped in the lobby a few times like a foot too low, so we had to step up out
of it, which was kind of odd. Also our room keys seemed to get erased easily,
locking us out of our room. That may have been our fault as I guess they can be
demagnetized, but it happened a few more times than normal. However these are
really small things and hardly impacted our impression of the visit.
If it wasn't for The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver I believe our trip to Vancouver
would not have been as meaningful. |

Follow Highway 17 to Highway 99.
Take Highway 99 north to Vancouver.
Follow Highway 99 north until it becomes Oak St. in Vancouver.
Travel along Oak St. until you reach Braodway.
Turn left onto Broadway until you reach Granville St.
Turn right onto Granville St. and go over the Granville St. Bridge.
Turn left onto Drake St., the first stoplight after the Granville St. Bridge.
Follow Drake St. two blocks to Hornby St..
Turn right onto Hornby St.
Proceed along Hornby St. to the Hotel Vancouver (on left), ½ blocks past Robson
St., beside the Avis Rent A Car sign.
Turn left into the driveway for Hotel Vancouver.
United States/Canada Border to The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
Take Highway 99 north to Vancouver.
Follow Highway 99 north until it becomes Oak St. in Vancouver.
Travel along Oak St. until you reach Broadway.
Turn left onto Broadway until you reach Granville St.
Turn right onto Granville St. and go over the Granville St. Bridge.
Turn left onto Drake St., the first stoplight after the Granville St. Bridge.
Follow Drake St. two blocks to Hornby St..
Turn right onto Hornby St.
Proceed along Hornby St. to the Hotel Vancouver (on left), ½ blocks past Robson

Leaving the airport, follow signs to City Centre via Granville St.
Follow Granville St. until you have crossed the Granville St. Bridge.
Once over the bridge, turn left onto Drake St., the first stoplight after the
Granville St. Bridge.
Follow Drake St. for two blocks until you reach Hornby St.
Turn right onto Hornby St.
Proceed along Hornby St. to the Hotel Vancouver, ½ blocks past Robson St.,
beside the Avis Rent A Car sign.
