The Best Western Chateau Granville is primarily an all suite hotel,
eighty-five percent of the accommodations are suites.
The suites are the perfect accommodation for families, corporate travelers, and
tour groups.This Hotel is located on Granville Street which has been
designated the entertainment district in Vancouver. This means that the street
is home to many bars, hotels, restaurants and nightclubs which stay open till 4
am. Many of the guests of these hotels enjoy the location because of its
location and the nightlife it offers. Over the last several years the area has
gone through some exciting changes with older run down properties being torn
down and new shops and services put in their places.
The Best Western Chateau Granville is Ideally located in the heart of downtown
Vancouver just minutes from B.C. Place Stadium and a short walk to restaurants,
theaters, Robson Street shopping, the Financial District and many major
attractions. |

Our room was moldy, it smelled and had BED BUGS. Imagine waking up with bites
all over you..... STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE
Best Feature: Location
End of our trip before heading back to Hawaii, so there were plenty of other
places to compare it with. Even if it had been the first, the location, even
though central, was disgusting to say the least. Take this whole hotel and place
it elsewhere, and it really wouldn't be so bad. We had a 5th floor suite
overlooking Granville, and it was way too loud, the thin windows or walls,
something needs to be done to keep the ruckus and disorderly conduct that even
Vancouver police can't seem to contain.
This is pretty much like any other best Western. It's clean, simple with nothing
special.
What makes this hotel awesome is the location. It is an easy walk to a lot of
really cool bars and nightclubs.
Yes the hotel is in what could be considered the seedy part of Vancouver, but
compared to LA, NY, San Francisco etc., seedy is not the word I would use to
describe it. The hotel is located in the part of downtown full of nightclubs,
bars, restaurants, and yes a couple of adult bookstores. Not once did I not feel
safe walking down the street.
The hotel itself is very nice. The suite that I had was very clean and well
appointed. Nice view of Granville Street from my balcony on the 11th floor.
